Deep shadows of the City

A high-contrast black and white photograph of an elderly woman with white hair, viewed from behind and the side. She is walking on a city sidewalk and carrying a white plastic shopping bag. Her shadow is long. The background is a textured, weathered concrete wall with a closed wooden shutter-door and extensive, distinct graffiti, including stylized tags and lines. The lighting creates a strong dramatic contrast between deep shadow and highlighted elements. The image is presented with a white border.

A low-angle black and white photograph of a figure riding a bicycle on a city street. The cyclist is seen in dramatic silhouette, backlit by a strong, low light source that creates a powerful halo effect and a very long, dark shadow cast directly towards the viewer. The background wall is heavily textured and marked with extensive graffiti and tags, featuring a closed wooden door with metal hinges. Deep pockets of impenetrable shadow dominate the scene, creating high contrast. The image is presented with a white border.
