the image following the previous one of a male and a female gambles quail evading the photographer. the photographer's dog killed their baby chick the night before so, this is humor because I'm definitely sad, I've got no hard feelings about them leaving.

Treasure flowers and Gambel's Quail 🐣:☠️ by 🐕; dappled light on Passion🌺Vine🪴

A vibrant pot of colorful Gazania, a daisy-like flower, often called a Treasure Flower; this is my first time tending to them👩‍🌾 Pair of Gambel'sQuail, who seem to enjoy desert suburbia, often feed in the gated backyard. LunaDog flushed the entire family out of the tall flowered Oleander evergreens; despite the frantic efforts of the parent quail, Luna caught one of the babies, brought it inside. I almost never spot Quail but I saw them immediately upon going outside in the morning and felt sad about Luna's misunderstanding of how we treat the pollinators visiting in our yard. I'm definitely the one feeling the big sad feels about baby chick; Luna got mad when I washed her little throw rug, which she placed her fresh kill upon. waited for one of the human's to notice the corpse. We don't want this to happen again so we are now supervising her very carefully when she is obviously tracking the birds. She's also going after the wall lizards but I figure they have a slight edge on her.🦎
