A trail leads down through sparse early-spring trees toward a rocky shoreline along a wide, calm body of water.

The trees are mostly bare with just the faintest flush of new leaves emerging.

The ground is a mix of dirt, dead leaves, and patches of fresh green grass.

Beyond a narrow pebble-and-rock beach, the water stretches to a low, forested far shore under a dramatic sky of deep blue broken by large billowing clouds.

The overall mood is quiet and transitional — that particular stillness of late April or early May before the leaves fully open.
