charleston forts
I joined my mom on vacation just in time to test out the kodak snapic A1 in sunny, sunny Charleston, South Carolina. We stayed close to Sullivan's Island, so I insisted on visiting Fort Moultrie, since I'd just read about that revolutionary war battle in The British Are Coming. Basically, the might of the british navy was bested by spongy cabbage palm trunks. If you're ever in Charleston, Moultrie is far more interesting than Sumter, unless you really just want to take a ferry ride out into the middle of the harbor. I was trying to do some fancy perspective stuff in that last shot with some dead tree branches I found on the beach. It didn't turn out quite the way I envisioned, but it was still fun rolling around in the sand looking for the right angle.
