How do you maintain safety and democratic resilience at scale across a decentralised network? Is community-led moderation really viable in a world awash with spam, scams, and information operations? I founded Skywatch Blue with the notion of finding out and creating a social media space that I, and the people around me, could enjoy. I’ve spent the last 2+ years building tooling and policies and figuring out how to make decentralized trust and safety sustainable in operation. I’m excited to announce that I'll be at EUDisInfoLab’s #Disinfo2026 in October where I’ll be talking Trust and Safety on Decentralised Platforms with @cathleen.eurosky.social and @camillefrancois.bsky.social , whether it can scale to meet the challenges of the moment, and what that looks like in practice!
