October, 2026. A narrow dirt trail winds through Forest Park beneath a large, moss-covered tree branch that arches across the path. Warm autumn sunlight filters through yellow and orange leaves in the background, contrasting with the deep green ferns and shadowy forest floor.

October, 2025. A narrow, muddy trail winds through a dense forest, scattered with bright yellow and orange autumn leaves. A thick, twisting branch covered in vivid green moss stretches across the path from the left before bending downward on the right. Ferns and leafy undergrowth crowd the trail beneath tall trees and a pale, overcast sky.

October, 2024. A narrow dirt trail winds through a dense green forest beneath enormous moss-covered branches. Bright sunlight bursts through the branches near the top of the photograph, casting patches of light across the path and surrounding ferns. Yellow and orange autumn leaves glow among the darker trees, while a long, mossy limb hangs down toward the center of the scene.

Super sunny and cool day for a run up in #ForestPark #pdx. I’m starting to realize that I stop and take pictures of the same places every year. The first picture is from today and the next two are from October 2025 and October 2024. I guess my brain knows what it likes!
