Living Canvas Rises Above Division Street

Tim Trautmann @timtrautmann.com · Apr 8 Southeast Division Street, Portland, Oregon, US

Against Portland's crystalline azure sky, Fin DAC's monumental five-story mural transforms a contemporary apartment building into a beacon of contemplative art. The ethereal figure, crowned with cascading vegetation that breathes life into street art, presses palms together in prayer while a vibrant parrot perches nearby, creating an oasis of serenity amid the urban pulse of Southeast Division Street. Yellow lane markers slice through the foreground, leading the eye toward this towering testament to gratitude that seamlessly merges nature with human expression.
