Midtown Rising

Tim Trautmann @timtrautmann.com · Apr 9 India Street/Greenpoint, New York, US

The Midtown Manhattan skyline viewed from across the East River under a clear blue sky. One Vanderbilt tower is visible under construction on the upper left, its steel frame topped with a construction crane. The iconic Art Deco Chrysler Building with its distinctive stainless steel eagle crown and spire rises prominently in the center of the skyline. The MetLife Building is visible behind it. A cluster of modern glass and brick residential and commercial towers fills the dense skyline. A ferry and waterfront promenade are visible along the river's edge in the foreground.
