Storm Clouds Gather Over Portland's Industrial Eastside

Tim Trautmann @timtrautmann.com · Apr 16 Water Avenue Commerce Center, Portland, Oregon, US

Brooding cumulonimbus clouds mass in pewter and charcoal tones above Portland's Central Eastside district, their heavy forms caught in dramatic chiaroscuro against patches of luminous sky. The monochromatic palette emphasizes the raw power of the approaching weather system, with billowing cloud formations creating a sense of impending atmospheric drama over the city's industrial corridor. Light breaks through in ethereal beams, casting the entire skyscape in theatrical contrast between shadow and illumination.
