Spring Communion Under Portland's Cherry Canopy

Tim Trautmann @timtrautmann.com · Apr 16 Willamette Greenway Trail, Portland, Oregon, US

Two figures sit in quiet contemplation on emerald grass beneath the magnificent cherry blossoms of Tom McCall Waterfront Park, their backs turned toward the camera as they face the ethereal pink-white canopy above. The shallow depth of field creates a dreamlike quality, with the delicate sakura blooms rendered in soft focus against Portland's azure spring sky. Behind them, blurred silhouettes of other visitors suggest the communal draw of this seasonal spectacle, while the distant Willamette River and urban landscape fade into a gentle bokeh.
