Alpenglow Dreams Above Portland International

Tim Trautmann @timtrautmann.com · Apr 21 Northeast 33rd Drive, Portland, Oregon, US

Mount Hood rises majestically beyond Portland International Airport's control tower and terminals, bathed in the ethereal pink alpenglow of twilight. A commercial aircraft carves through the lavender sky in the upper right, while the industrial sprawl of the airport complex spreads across the middle ground. Taken from Northeast 33rd Drive in Sunderland, this atmospheric composition layers Oregon's aviation hub against the iconic Cascade peak, with wild grasses framing the foreground in soft focus.
