The Bayanbulak Grasslands is China's second-largest grassland, spanning nearly 24,000 square kilometers deep in the intermontane basin of the Tianshan Mountains in central Xinjiang. In Mongolian, its name translates to "Abundant Spring". Famous for the winding Kaidu River serpentine. The grasslands are home primarily to Mongolian herders, along with Kazakh communities. Visitors can see traditional yurts and attend the summer Naadam Festival featuring horse racing, wrestling, and archery. If you look closely you can see an eagle in flight.
